If you are a player in high demand and being offered significant personal impacting contracts, then you may need to protect your interests with an agent/representative. Legalities of football can be complex and confusing, and this is when you may need expert advice. Plus, they may be able to maximise your potential income with other commercial opportunities. However, if you’re getting an agent just to get you noticed, then in my opinion you have this in the wrong order. Some clubs do benefit from third parties as methods of obtaining potential players.
Ultimately though, it’s your performances, your ability & holistic approach that will create your demand & progression opportunities. Its what will make managers talk and scouts turn up and report on you. I was one of them! This is why I create an initial report for my players and help to build a realistic plan.
I believe I’m well placed to share these tips with you. I have a reputation for developing players and have coached, scouted, and managed at professional academies and professional & Semi-pro senior levels of the game covering thousands of games, over 30 years and proudly being a key part of the journey for many current professional players.
